Steve is a Shareholder in the firm's Real Estate Group. His practice primarily involves commercial and residential development, commercial leasing, mortgage lending and purchase and sale transactions. Steve is a title insurance agent for several national title underwriters. Steve is also on the firm's Management Committee and is the Real Estate Department's practice group leader.
Steve has an active practice representing local and national lenders in connection with construction, term, permanent and conduit loans. In addition, Steve represents local, regional and national developers in projects in Florida and nationally. He has developed an expertise especially in connection with retail leasing and development and has been involved in numerous shopping center transactions. For example, Steve was the lead attorney in connection with a $100,000,000 mall redevelopment involving the acquisition and demolition of an existing indoor mall and the conversion of the site to a big box outdoor mall involving a dozen leading national retailers. Steve has also been involved in several hotel projects.
Steve is active in several professional related activities such as the Real Estate Investment Council and the International Council of Shopping Centers. He has served on The Florida Bar Grade Review Panel as well. Steve is also listed in Florida Trend's list of Legal Elites as well as in the Best Lawyers in America.
Steve has served as President of the Board of Directors of Hyde Park Preservation, Inc. and is currently President-Elect of that non-profit entity. Steve is also a member of the Tampa Yacht and Country Club.
