Erik is an Associate in the firm's Construction & Design and Litigation Groups. His practice primarily involves representing owners, developers, contractors, design professionals, subcontractors and sureties in construction defect disputes, bond claims, lien foreclosure actions and complex commercial litigations. Erik's professional experience includes:
- Representing a national home building corporation in a construction defect litigation involving over 35 multi-family condominium buildings.
- Representing the owner of a multi-million dollar hotel in a construction defect lawsuit brought by a condominium association.
- Representing developer-related entities and individuals in a condominium conversion construction defect case involving over 240 condominium units.
Active in bar related activities, Erik is a member of the Construction Law Section for the Hillsborough County Bar Association and the American Bar Association's Forum on the Construction Industry. Also active in the community, Erik serves on the Youth Projects Committee for the Young Lawyers Division of the HCBA. In addition, Erik proudly serves on the Board of Directors for Community Stepping Stones, a nonprofit organization that seeks to improve the lives of the children in the Sulphur Springs area of Tampa through arts education and mentoring.
Prior to joining the firm, Erik practiced in New York City, where he focused on real estate and commercial litigation matters. Outside of the office, Erik enjoys traveling with his wife, Lauren, playing golf and fishing.
