
Mike is a Shareholder in the firm's Bankruptcy and Creditors' Rights section and the Litigation Group. His practice is concentrated in the areas of business bankruptcy, creditors' rights litigation (including mortgage foreclosures, receiverships, replevins, proceedings supplementary), commercial litigation (including non-compete litigation and partnership/shareholder disputes) and Real Property litigation. Mike represents financial institutions, private lenders, private and public companies, and other creditors, as well as debtors, trustees, official committees and other commercial litigants in bankruptcy, state and federal courts throughout the State of Florida.
Mike is active in the Tampa Bay Bankruptcy Bar Association and the Business Law section of the Florida Bar where he has worked on legislation initiatives associated with the Uniform Commercial Code.
Mike is Board Certified in Business Bankruptcy law by the American Board of Certification, has enjoyed an AV rating by Martindale-Hubbell for 15 years, has been selected by the Best Lawyers in America in Bankruptcy and Creditor-Debtor law. He has been named a Super Lawyer for Bankruptcy & Creditor/Debtor law and business litigation.
Mike has published articles on various topics and is a frequent seminar speaker on topics associated with his practice. He has served on various charitable boards and is presently the Vice-Chair of the advisory board of Clearwater Central Catholic High School.
