Reid is a Shareholder in the firm’s Corporate & Tax Group where his areas of practice include corporate, securities and health care law. He advises clients on a wide range of issues including general corporate and business-related matters, mergers, acquisitions and sales of businesses, private equity and other types of corporate finance transactions, succession planning, equity-based compensation, and healthcare-related transactions.
Reid has represented both public and private companies on a wide range of business matters; however, the primary focus of his practice is on family-owned and closely held businesses, advising them from early-stage through growth, succession planning and maturity. Reid represents clients in a wide range of industries, including health care, manufacturing, real estate development, restaurants, hospitality, private utilities and technology.
In addition to his Bar memberships, Reid is involved in business and civic activities. Reid serves on the Board of Directors and Executive Committees of the Museum of Science and Industry and the Tampa Bay Business Committee for the Arts. He is an immediate past member of the University of Tampa Board of Trustees and sits on the Steering Committee for the University of Tampa Board of Fellows. Reid is also an active member of Leadership Tampa Alumni.
Reid is married, with four children, and serves on the Vestry of St. John’s Episcopal Church. He also enjoys sports, reading and music.
