Kem serves as Of Counsel in the firm’s Bankruptcy and Creditors’ Rights Group. Her practice is concentrated in the areas of business bankruptcies, creditors’ rights litigation and commercial litigation. Kem represents financial institutions, private lenders, private and public companies, and other creditors, as well as trustees, debtors, official committees and other commercial litigants in state, bankruptcy and other federal courts through the State of Florida.
Prior to joining the firm in an of counsel capacity, Kem worked for the U.S. Department of Justice in Washington, D.C. She was in the Commercial Litigation Section of the Civil Division, and represented various federal agencies in commercial and bankruptcy matters all over the United States.
Kem is active in professional activities, her church and the community. She was recently appointed to the Florida Bar’s Federal Court Practice Committee for a three-year term. She is a member of the Athena Society, a professional women’s organization, as well as Leadership Tampa Alumni.
