Hill Ward Henderson is pleased to announce that shareholder Mark J. Criser was sworn in on June 19, 2026, as a member of The Florida Bar Board of Governors, the governing body responsible for overseeing the administration and operation of The Florida Bar.
The Florida Bar Board of Governors provides leadership and policy direction for more than 110,000 members of The Florida Bar. The 52-member Board has exclusive authority to formulate and adopt policy concerning Bar activities, subject to the Rules Regulating The Florida Bar, and plays a vital role in advancing the legal profession, improving the administration of justice, and serving the public throughout Florida.
“I am honored to serve on The Florida Bar Board of Governors and to represent the interests of Florida's legal community,” said Criser. “I look forward to working with my fellow Board members to support the profession, strengthen public confidence in the legal system, and help address the challenges and opportunities facing lawyers and the clients they serve.”
Criser has been practicing law for nearly 30 years representing clients in complex commercial litigation matters, including the defense of professional malpractice claims, life, health, and disability insurance disputes, and a broad range of business litigation matters.
