Hill Ward Henderson Shareholder Sworn In As Hillsborough County Bar Association President

Hill Ward Henderson Shareholder, S. Gordon Hill, was sworn in as President of the Hillsborough County Bar Association (HCBA) on June 8 at the Chester H. Ferguson Law Center. The HCBA is a nonprofit professional member association that caters to the legal community throughout the Tampa Bay area. The HCBA is one of the most active voluntary bar associations in the nation with its 4,000 members known for their dedication and service to the community. Its mission is to inspire and promote respect for the law and the justice system through service to the profession and to the community. 

Mr. Hill is a Shareholder in the firm’s Litigation and Employment Law Groups. His practice primarily involves employment litigation and counseling, as well as noncompete litigation and general commercial litigation. He has successfully defended clients in a wide variety of employment-related litigation, but also provides proactive counseling and solutions to help clients manage their employees and avoid litigation. 

Hill holds an A-V Preeminent Rating by Martindale-Hubbell and has been named to Best Lawyers in America in Commercial Litigation – Labor and Employment.  He is active in both professional and Bar-related activities. He has served on the HCBA’s Board of Directors since 2010 and is active in the Defense Research Institute’s Labor & Employment Section. Hill previously served as Secretary of the HCBA Board of Directors (2006-07), as a member of the HCBA Board of Directors (2005-06), and was a member the HCBA Leadership Institute's inaugural class. He was also very active in the HCBA Young Lawyers Division, serving on its Board of Directors for several years and as its President in 2005-06. Hill has also served on The Florida Bar’s Unlicensed Practice of Law Committee and as a member of the Justice William Glenn Terrell and The First Central Florida American Inns of Court.

Hill is active in the community where he has served on the Boards of Directors of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Tampa Bay, the Culbreath Bayou Neighborhood Association, and the Robinson High School Foundation. He has also been involved with the Vanderbilt Alumni Association for several years.
