The paralegal will perform a wide variety of tasks which includes providing a high level of customer service and support, while consistently producing an excellent work product. The paralegal maintains general knowledge of the Litigation practice groups and a specialized knowledge of the assigned attorneys’ practice area(s) and clients in order to ensure extraordinary client satisfaction.
Requirements:
- Three to five years of substantive experience in defense personal injury, products liability and/or medical malpractice
- Previous experience with subpoenaing medical records and preparing medical chronologies
- Experience with scheduling
- Previous trial experience
- Knowledge of Federal and State court rules
- Previous experience tracking and recording billable hours
- Experience with legal software desired (i.e. Xera, Relativity)
- Solid computer skills including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
Candidates must also have strong written and verbal communication skills, client-oriented focus, professional demeanor, initiative, analytical thinking and attention to detail.
