Anisha P. Patel - Associate

Anisha is an attorney in the firm’s Commercial Litigation Group and represents individuals and firms in a variety of business-related disputes, including professional liability matters, insurance coverage disputes, and the defense of accessibility lawsuits concerning the Americans with Disabilities Act. Anisha also has experience in representing a major tobacco company in smoking and health litigation.

In addition to her litigation practice, Anisha is actively involved in many local, statewide, and national bar associations. She serves as an elected governor on the Florida Bar Young Lawyers Division Board of Governors, an ex-officio board member of the Hillsborough County Bar Association Young Lawyers Division, and a Vice Chair on the Professional Liability Insurance Committee of the American Bar Association Tort, Trial & Insurance Practice Section. Anisha was also the Programs Chair for the Hillsborough County Bar Association in 2018-2019 and the Co-Chair for the Tampa Bay Chapter of the Federal Bar Association’s 2018 Staying in the Game Program.

Anisha completed her legal education at the London School of Economics, where she received an LLB law degree, and was called to the Bar of England and Wales. Anisha subsequently attended Stetson University College of Law where she graduated first in her class and received the E. Harris Drew Memorial Award for Excellence in Written & Oral Advocacy, the Victor O. Wehle Award for Excellence in Trial Advocacy, and earned book awards in Torts, Legal Research and Writing, Trial Advocacy, Professional Responsibility, and Constitutional Law. 

Outside of the office, Anisha enjoys spending time with her husband and son, traveling, and watching college football.
