Dalton R. Allen - Associate

Dalton is an associate in the firm’s litigation group.  His practice involves the defense of product liability and mass tort claims.  Primarily, Dalton represents a major tobacco company in individual smoking and health litigation. 

Dalton earned his Juris Doctor from Stetson University College of Law where he graduated magna cum laude and upon graduation received the Suzanne Armstrong Memorial Award and the National Order of Scribes Award in the area of legal writing, and the Victor O. Wehle Award for excellence in trial advocacy.  During law school, Dalton served as Assistant Research Editor of the Stetson Law Review where he was awarded Stetson Law Review’s Leadership Award, competed as an advocate on Stetson’s #1 nationally ranked Trial Team, and earned Highest Grade Designations in many courses, including Contracts, Civil Procedure, Research & Writing, and Trial Advocacy.  Dalton served as a Federal Judicial Intern for the Honorable James D. Whittemore in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida and both as a Research Assistant and Teaching Assistant.  

During his time at Stetson Dalton also received the Veterans Law Institute Award for his pro bono contributions and prior to law school spent time volunteering with the Legal Aid Society of the Orange County Bar Association as a Volunteer Advocate for Children.  Outside of the office, Dalton enjoys playing golf, following Florida State football, and spending time with his wife, Haley, and their chocolate Labrador—Aspen.
