Overview

Clients turn to Lauren for disciplined financial analysis, strategic judgment, and the ability to guide complex restructurings through negotiation and litigation.

Lauren Stricker is a shareholder in the firm’s Bankruptcy Group and a restructuring and creditors’ rights attorney who advises clients navigating complex Chapter 11 reorganizations and enterprise-critical distress situations. She represents stakeholders across middle-market and multi-state businesses confronting operational, capital structure, governance, and liquidity challenges, including in highly contested proceedings.

Lauren represents secured lenders, commercial landlords, official creditors’ committees, and Chapter 7 and Chapter 11 trustees in matters involving cash collateral and DIP financing, intercreditor disputes, plan negotiations and confirmation litigation, valuation disputes, and avoidance actions. She works across constituencies to stabilize operations, rationalize lease portfolios, resolve competing stakeholder interests, and develop restructuring strategies aligned with long-term enterprise objectives.

Her experience includes finance-driven restructurings involving asset-based lending facilities, multi-entity real estate platforms, insider and affiliate disputes, and matters involving parallel litigation or regulatory exposure. Lauren regularly coordinates cross-disciplinary teams and manages complex litigation and restructuring workflows in high-stakes environments where financial, operational, and legal considerations intersect.

Lauren’s experience in federal criminal trials and government investigations further informs her approach to evidentiary strategy, governance, and risk management, particularly in matters involving allegations of fraud, insider misconduct, or heightened regulatory scrutiny.

Outside of her practice, Lauren is a passionate traveler and devoted live-music fan. Her record collection spans Roxy Music and The Cure to Nirvana and The Tragically Hip—a non-negotiable connection to her Toronto roots. She is also an avid hockey and baseball fan, although her loyalties are divided between Tampa Bay and Toronto: the Lightning and Maple Leafs, and the Rays and Blue Jays.
