Overview

Rikiya Thomas concentrates her practice on corporate legal matters, including mergers and acquisitions, SEC compliance, corporate governance, securities offerings and private equity transactions.

With almost 15 years of experience, Riki has represented public companies, private equity funds and privately-held companies in the energy, healthcare, technology and manufacturing industries.  She also serves as outside general counsel to a number of small and mid-size company clients. Additionally, Riki advises clients on premerger regulatory matters and filings pursuant to the Hart-Scott-Rodino (HSR) Act for certain subject transactions.

Prior to joining the firm, Riki was a Partner at a large, full-service law firm and an attorney at several AM Law 100 law firms in Houston, Texas.

Outside of the office, Riki enjoys spending time with family and friends, exploring local eateries and shops, traveling, volunteering in the community, and supporting Alabama State University athletics and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Riki is a native of Sarasota, Florida.
