John C. Connery, Jr., attorney at Hill Ward Henderson, has been elected to serve as the 2014 Capital Connection Co-Chair for the Association for Corporate Growth (ACG) Florida. ACG Florida is a partnership among the four Florida chapters– North Florida, Orlando, South Florida and Tampa Bay. ACG is dedicated to acquisitions and strategic and organic middle-market business growth. Capital Connection brings more than 500 representatives from various industries together to focus on the art of a business deal.
Mr. Connery is a Shareholder and Co-Chair of the firm’s Taxation Group and leads the General Taxation area. His practice involves federal and state tax advice, venture capital transactions, mergers and acquisitions, and partnerships and joint ventures. In addition to being the Co-Chair for Capital Connection, Mr. Connery is a member of the tax sections of The Florida Bar and American Bar Association, serves on the Board of Directors for the ACG, Tampa Bay Chapter and is President for the ACG, Tampa Bay Chapter.
