Hill Ward Henderson Shareholder Elected to Board of Directors

Scott A. McLaren, a Shareholder with Hill Ward Henderson’s Real Property and Commercial Litigation Groups, was recently elected to the Board of Directors for Ruth Eckerd Hall. Located in Clearwater, Ruth Eckerd Hall is a nationally recognized premier performing arts organization that offers traditional and innovative performances and educational experience to engage diverse audiences and participants in order to advance the arts and enrich the lives of all segments in the community. Each year, over 350,000 attendees visit Ruth Eckerd Hall for performances ranging from world-renowned classical artists and dance companies to Broadway musicals and pop stars. Through its educational programs, Ruth Eckerd Hall serves nearly 100,000 students and adults annually. 

McLaren, Board Certified by The Florida Bar in Business Litigation and A-V Preeminent rated by Martindale-Hubbell, concentrates his practice on litigation involving real estate and land use issues, as well as complex commercial litigation. He has been involved in litigating several cases with significant impact upon the development and business Community. In addition, he has authored several articles and is a frequent lecturer and has been selected to speak on real property litigation issues at several seminars, as well as in college-level courses at The University of Tampa. 

Active in both professional and community activities, McLaren is a graduate of the Leadership Tampa program and is a former Chair of the Board of Trustees of the Academy of Holy Names of Florida, Inc.  Additionally, McLaren has served as a member of the Board of Directors of Special Olympics and enjoys coaching little league baseball and other youth sports.
