Tori C. Simmons, attorney at Hill Ward Henderson, was recently commended for her pro bono efforts with Project H.E.L.P. (Homeless Experience Legal Protection), a nonprofit program that offers free weekly legal clinics at Metropolitan Ministries. At the program’s second annual reception, she was applauded for her dedicated service, tireless volunteer work, and leadership. Through her efforts, Hill Ward Henderson staffs the H.E.L.P. Clinic two months out of every year. Magistrate Judges Sneed and Sansone gave messages of judicial support at the reception, alongside several other judges, local lawyers, and representatives from Metropolitan Ministries.
Ms. Simmons is an Associate in Hill Ward Henderson’s Litigation Group. Her practice primarily focuses on general commercial litigation. During law school, she served as the Claims Director for Duke’s Veterans’ Disability Assistance Project where she assisted veterans in obtaining disability benefits. Simmons graduated from Duke University School of Law where she served on the Alaska Law Review and Duke Law Moot Court Board. Active in the community, Simmons is on the Board of Directors for Trinity Café.
