Hill Ward Henderson is pleased to announce the reappointment of shareholder Katherine E. “Katie” Cole to the St. Petersburg College District Board of Trustees by Governor Ron DeSantis for a three-year term.
In 2017, Cole was appointed by Governor Rick Scott to the St. Petersburg College Board of Trustees and served as chairperson of the Board from 2019 – 2021. Cole is the current Vice Chair of the Board. Board of Trustee members are appointed by the Governor and confirmed by the Florida Senate.
Cole currently serves on the firm's Management Committee and is co-chair of the firm’s Land Use group. Her practice primarily involves representing property owners in the development of commercial projects and residential subdivisions in Pinellas and Pasco counties.
Active in the community, Cole serves as the Chair of the Board of Trustees for Morton Plant Mease Hospital and is on the Board of Directors for BayCare. She previously served as chairperson of the Clearwater Regional Chamber of Commerce and Big Brothers Big Sisters of Pinellas County. She is a past member of the City of Clearwater Business Task Force, the Charter Review Committees for both the City of Clearwater and Pinellas County, and Pinellas County’s Development Customer Advisory Group (DCAG).
