Hill Ward Henderson is pleased to announce the election of four new shareholders: Chad E. Burgess, Daniel E. Johns, Catherine S. Mastracci, and Kevin Paule. This election now brings the firm’s number of shareholders to 80 of 126 attorneys.
Burgess’ practice includes the defense of medical malpractice, hospital liability, products liability, premises liability, and auto dealership compliance claims, along with a diverse array of personal injury cases. He has lengthy trial experience successfully defending physicians and their practice groups. He is also experienced in alternative dispute resolution including mediation as well as binding and non-binding arbitration. And he has settled multiple cases for clients who were seriously injured in motor vehicle accidents. Prior to his legal career, Burgess proudly worked for many years as a second-generation firefighter/paramedic. Burgess received his J.D. cum laude from Stetson University College of Law.”
Johns represents companies, financial sponsors, family offices, and individuals in a variety of corporate and transactional matters. His practice is particularly focused on representing buyers and sellers in mergers and acquisitions and advising companies and executives on day-to-day legal matters. Johns received his J.D. from the University of Florida College of Law.
Mastracci’s practice includes real property purchase and sale transactions, commercial development, institutional lending, and commercial leasing. She earned her J.D. cum laude from Tulane University Law School.
Paule’s practice focuses on commercial litigation, with an emphasis on business disputes and non-compete litigation. He has litigated cases for and against large companies, individuals, small businesses, and non-profits. He regularly appears in courtrooms throughout the state of Florida and around the country, as well as arbitrations. Additionally, Paule maintains a sports law practice and has represented amateur and professional athletes, as well as sports teams, on a variety of issues, including advising college athletes on NIL agreements and licensing deals. Paule received his J.D. from the University of Florida College of Law.
