Andriy Lytvyn Appointed to the Florida Bar Intellectual Property Law Certification Committee

Hill Ward Henderson is proud to announce that attorney Andriy Lytvyn has been appointed to serve on The Florida Bar’s Intellectual Property Law Certification Committee for the term July 1, 2023 – June 30, 2024.

Certification committees review and evaluate certification and recertification applications in accordance with area standards and recommend approval or denial to the Board of Legal Specialization and Education (BLSE). They also prepare area examinations in accordance with test specifications and the drafting handbook and grade the exams. Certification Committees propose amendments to Rules that govern the practice areas to ensure that the standards are current, attainable, and continue to represent a level of knowledge, skill, and proficiency expected of a "board certified specialist" or "board certified expert.” They also Increase awareness of board certification through interaction with Bar sections, substantive law committees, the Courts, and the public.

Lytvyn is a registered patent attorney with over a decade of experience in patent and trademark law. He is Board Certified in Intellectual Property Law by The Florida Bar. He has extensive patent preparation and prosecution experience, which includes over 180 issued U.S. patents granted for a wide array of technologies, encompassing software, telecommunications, medical devices, consumer products, and retail security solutions. Lytvyn also has substantial experience in trademark prosecution, which includes over 100 U.S. trademark applications. On the litigation front, he has an active practice representing clients in Inter Partes Reviews, district court patent infringement litigation, and appeals to the Federal Circuit.
