Shareholder B. Ben Dachepalli Appointed Member of the Tampa Housing Authority

Hill Ward Henderson is proud to announce that shareholder B. Ben Dachepalli was recently appointed by City of Tampa Mayor Bob Buckhorn, and subsequently confirmed by the Tampa City Council, to serve a 4-year term as a member of the Tampa Housing Authority. The Tampa Housing Authority promotes the development and professional management of a variety of affordable housing opportunities, facilities and supportive services, to nurture neighborhoods, provide economic development and self-sufficiency activities for residents, while assuring equal access to safe, quality housing for low and moderate income families, throughout the community.

The Tampa Housing Authority was incorporated in 1939 and provides affordable housing opportunities to more than 21,000 residents in the Tampa Bay area. This agency currently administers 3,026 public housing units and 9,403 Housing Choice Vouchers. As a member of the Tampa Housing Authority, Mr. Dachepalli will assist in implementing several of the organization’s strategic initiatives to cultivate affordable housing while empowering residents and communities.    

Mr. Dachepalli is a shareholder and co-chair in the firm’s Construction & Design Practice Group. As a board certified attorney in construction law, his practice includes the negotiation and drafting of construction related agreements and complex construction litigation claims regarding contracts, construction defects, design errors, and construction liens. Mr. Dachepalli represents owners, developers, contractors, construction managers, design professionals and subcontractors in all phases of the construction process. As a former board member of the Construction Industry Licensing Board for the State of Florida, Mr. Dachepalli is also experienced in licensing matters for contractors and subcontractors.
