Hill Ward Henderson Welcomes Five New Attorneys

Hill Ward Henderson is pleased to announce the addition of five attorneys to the firm, Quinn M. Benson, Joey Gonzalez, Jacob T. Phelps, Mayson C. Plesko, and Joshua D. Wendt.

Benson joins the Real Estate Group, where he advises clients on property purchases, commercial development projects, institutional lending, and commercial leasing matters. He graduated cum laude from Stetson University College of Law and served twice on the executive board of the Stetson Chapter of the Real Property, Probate, and Trust Law Association.

Gonzalez joins the Real Property Litigation Group. His practice focuses on real estate litigation, business disputes, and general commercial litigation. He earned his J.D. from Emory University School of Law, where he served as Executive Notes & Comments Editor of the Emory Corporate Governance & Accountability Review. Gonzalez also interned for the Honorable Magistrate Judge Sean P. Flynn in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida.

Phelps joins the Construction Practice Group and handles a wide range of construction-related matters. He received his J.D. summa cum laude from Florida State University College of Law, where he was a Notes & Comments Editor for the Florida State University Law Review and participated in national moot court competitions.

Plesko joins the Real Estate Litigation / Ad Valorem Tax Group, representing property owners in Florida whose properties have been valued above fair market value. She earned her J.D. from Wake Forest University School of Law, where she served as Research & Online Editor for the Wake Forest Journal of Business and Intellectual Property Law. Plesko also interned for the Honorable Helene Daniel in the Hillsborough County Thirteenth Judicial Circuit Court.

Wendt joins the Employee Benefits & Executive Compensation Group. He assists public and private employers with a wide range of employee benefits matters. He holds both a J.D. and an LL.M. in Taxation from the University of Florida Levin College of Law. During law school, he served as a judicial extern for The Honorable Norma S. Lindsey of the Florida Third District Court of Appeal and The Honorable Kristine Van Vorst of the Eighth Judicial Circuit of Florida. Prior to joining the firm, Wendt served as a General Attorney for the IRS Office of Chief Counsel in Washington, D.C.
