David T. Knight, a Shareholder with Hill Ward Henderson’s Commercial Litigation Group, is actively involved in many civic and professional organizations. Recently, Mr. Knight was elected as the Florida State Chair for the American College of Trial Lawyers. The American College of Trial Lawyers is composed of the best of the trial bar from the United States and Canada and is widely considered to be the premier professional trial organization in America.
In addition, Mr. Knight was recently sworn-in as the Chair of Bay Area Legal Services. Bay Area Legal Services is a nonprofit, public interest law firm that provides civil legal assistance to low-income residents in the Tampa Bay region. The organization provides the highest quality legal counsel by assisting individuals and nonprofit groups with limited access to legal services, by resolving the legal problems of their clients and preserving the independence, hope and dignity of those they serve.
Mr. Knight’s areas of practice include litigation in all federal and state courts, arbitrations and administrative proceedings. He concentrates his practice in complex business litigation, including extensive work in business torts. Mr. Knight has also lectured extensively in his areas of practice at the national, regional and local levels.
