Hill Ward Henderson is proud to announce that Timothy P. Zehnder has been elected to serve as President-Elect of the Florida West Coast Employee Benefits Council (FWCEBC) for the term September 1, 2023 – August 31, 2024.
Since the 1980s, the FWCEBC has been serving the Tampa Bay Area by providing an educational and networking forum for employee benefits professionals. The Council’s purpose is to advance the knowledge of employee benefits professionals by exchanging practical application of new legislation, case studies, and compliance procedures and practices relating to all levels of benefits management.
Zehnder’s practice focuses primarily on advising employers on a wide variety of benefits matters that arise throughout the lifespan of their benefits programs. This includes regularly counseling clients on plan design, administration and termination matters, compliance with applicable laws including the Internal Revenue Code, ERISA, HIPAA, and the Affordable Care Act, and resolution of compliance issues with the Internal Revenue Service, Department of Labor and Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation. Zehnder has experience assisting clients with matters relating to their health and welfare plans, qualified retirement plans, and non-qualified deferred compensation arrangements.
