Lauren C. Rubenstein

Lauren Rubenstein focuses her practice on a wide range of land use matters, including zoning, annexations, development approvals, governmental relations and permitting. She works with clients on projects of all sizes throughout the Tampa Bay region, with particular experience handling land use and development matters in Pinellas, Hillsborough, Pasco and Citrus Counties. Her clients range from single-family homeowners to developers of multifamily, commercial and mixed-use projects, and she is well versed in navigating the unique regulatory and governmental processes of each jurisdiction. In addition to her land use practice, Lauren has extensive experience with code enforcement, public records and Sunshine Law matters.

Prior to joining Hill Ward Henderson, she was a partner at the law firm of Denhardt and Rubenstein, where she served as City Attorney for the City of Pinellas Park, as well as a Special Magistrate for numerous jurisdictions throughout Pinellas County. Lauren’s experience working with local governments gives her a unique perspective and ability to problem solve with any jurisdiction to achieve her clients’ goals.

Born and raised in St. Petersburg, Lauren is passionate about serving her community, both personally and professionally. She is an active member of the St. Petersburg Bar Association, where she served as its 97th President from 2021-2022. When she isn’t in the office, Lauren can often be found volunteering with local non-profit and service organizations, enjoying time with her family at the St. Petersburg Yacht Club, or taking part in the local arts scene.
