David is an Associate in the firm's Litigation Group. His focus is in medical malpractice, hospital liability, defense of nursing home and long term care facilities, professional liability, premises liability, and handling a diverse array of personal injury claims.

Prior to graduating with honors from the Levin College of Law in 2011, David was Vice President of the Florida Moot Court Team, competed in seven moot court competitions, and served as Executive Research Editor of the University of Florida Journal of Law & Public Policy. While on the Florida Moot Court Team, David was the Best Overall Competitor at the 24th annual “Final Four” Competition, and twice argued in front of present and former members of the Florida Supreme Court at the annual Raymer F. Maguire, Jr. Moot Court Competition. He was also a two-time National Finalist at the ABA National Appellate Advocacy Championship (NAAC). David’s ABA NAAC Moot Court teams won back-to-back Regional Championships and Best Brief awards in Boston en route to the ABA National Finals, where 24 teams of an original field of over 200 competed in Chicago.

During his time at Levin, David was a Certified Legal Intern (CLI) with the Alachua County Public Defender’s Office. As a CLI, he represented several clients in all phases of criminal litigation including five jury trials and numerous appeals. David also worked as a teaching assistant for Legal Research & Writing and Appellate Advocacy and won four book awards at the Levin College of Law.

Prior to law school, David served as a reading and grammar teacher in a public school in a low-income community along the Texas-Mexico border with Teach for America. In addition to Teach for America, David taught English as a Second Language (ESOL) in public schools in Florida and taught business English in Prague, Czech Republic.

David is licensed to practice in all Florida courts and a member of the Middle District of Florida. David is a member of the Defense Research Institute.

David remains actively committed to the goal of eliminating educational inequality. David also enjoys all Tampa-based professional sports teams, the Florida Gators, distance running, cooking, reading, and competing in almost every sport except cricket.
