Tori C. Simmons - Associate

Tori is an Associate in the firm’s Litigation Group. Her practice primarily focuses on complex commercial business litigation. Tori represents clients in a variety of business disputes and class action litigation in state and federal court. In addition to her general commercial litigation practice, Tori represents individuals and firms in professional liability matters. 

Tori is actively involved in the community and serves on the Board of Directors for Trinity Café, a local nonprofit that serves over 380 nutritious meals to the hungry and food insecure in Tampa every day. Tori also devotes a significant amount of time to pro bono service. Tori represents clients in family law, guardian advocacy, and domestic violence matters through the Bay Area Legal Services Volunteer Lawyers Program and the Domestic Violence Assistance Project. Tori also serves as an attorney ad litem representing teens in foster care in dependency and delinquency proceedings through Crossroads for Florida Kids. Since 2014, Tori has volunteered, along with other Hill Ward Henderson attorneys, at the HELP (Homeless Experience Legal Protection) clinic every Tuesday for two months each year. 

Tori is also active in several professional associations. Tori has served on the planning committee for the annual and mid-year meeting of the National Association of Women Lawyers since 2016 and served as the Marketing Co-Chair for the 2018 Mid-Year Meeting in Miami. Tori is also active in the Defense Research Institute, serving on the National Steering Committee for Commercial Litigation and as the Vice Chair of the Business Torts and Contract Litigation SLG.  

Outside of the office, Tori enjoys reading and following sports, especially Duke basketball.
