Robert Shimberg Elected to the Board of Directors of NADC

Hill Ward Henderson is proud to announce that shareholder Robert A. Shimberg was elected to the National Association of Dealer Counsel (NADC) Board of Directors at its Fall Conference held at The Ritz-Carlton Chicago, Chicago. IL, on October 22-24, 2023. Shimberg will serve a three-year term.

The NADC is a nationwide professional organization of attorneys who represent automobile and other vehicle dealers. The NADC provides a forum for members to share information, common experience, and advice related to manufacturer franchise issues, lemon laws, vehicle finance, regulatory complexities, insurance laws, tax laws, buy/sell agreements, employment law, and many other issues facing dealers and their counsel today.

Shimberg’s primary areas of practice include commercial litigation, corporate compliance, cybersecurity, governmental relations and corporate investigations and representing clients under investigation by local and state administrative, regulatory and criminal agencies. Shimberg works extensively with automobile dealerships in Florida and throughout the country on proactive compliance and litigation in areas including sales, F&I, advertising, recalls, warranty audits, TCPA, ADA, accounting and pay plan disputes. He is a frequent speaker on compliance-related topics to industry groups and associations.

Shimberg has provided compliance-related services and training to hundreds of businesses around the country. He has defended businesses against consumer claims, class action lawsuits, and provided representation in connection with government agency inquiries and investigations and conducts internal investigations. Shimberg was formerly a prosecutor with the Hillsborough County State Attorney's Office.
