Overview

Anisha Patel represents individuals and firms in a variety of business-related disputes, including professional liability matters, insurance coverage disputes, and the defense of accessibility lawsuits concerning the Americans with Disabilities Act. Anisha also has experience in representing a major tobacco company in smoking and health litigation.

In addition to her litigation practice, Anisha is actively involved in many local, statewide, and national bar associations. She serves as an elected governor on the Florida Bar Young Lawyers Division Board of Governors and an ex-officio board member of the Hillsborough County Bar Association Young Lawyers Division.

Anisha completed her legal education at the London School of Economics, where she received an LLB law degree, and was called to the Bar of England and Wales. Anisha subsequently attended Stetson University College of Law where she graduated first in her class and received the E. Harris Drew Memorial Award for Excellence in Written & Oral Advocacy, the Victor O. Wehle Award for Excellence in Trial Advocacy, and earned book awards in Torts, Legal Research and Writing, Trial Advocacy, Professional Responsibility, and Constitutional Law.

Outside of the office, Anisha enjoys spending time with her husband and children, traveling, and watching college football.

  • Obtaining multimillion dollar settlement in representation of investment banking client in a breach of contract action.
  • Successfully defending an attorney in an action alleging breach of trust and for accountings with respect to the administration of an estate and trust, and obtaining a favorably settlement.
  • Obtaining dismissal of negligent misrepresentation, intentional infliction of emotional distress, negligence, negligent training, and ERISA claims on behalf of a multinational technology corporation, and favorably settling the remaining claim.
  • Successfully representing a client against an insurance broker in a breach of fiduciary duty and negligence claim and obtaining a six-figure settlement.
