Overview

Jill Bell serves as the firm's Hiring Partner and leads the firm’s Women’s Leadership Group. She is a member of the Real Estate Group, where her practice focuses on commercial real estate transactions, including acquisitions and dispositions, institutional lending, commercial development, and commercial leasing. Jill represents local, regional, and national clients in a broad range of commercial transactions throughout Florida and frequently serves as Florida local counsel, including the preparation of legal opinion letters.

Jill has extensive experience representing automotive dealerships, with a particular emphasis on dealership acquisitions, dispositions, and related real estate matters. She has advised a NYSE-listed dealership group on numerous portfolio transactions, including a transaction involving more than 70 dealership properties.

Prior to joining the firm's Real Estate Group, Jill practiced with the firm's Real Property Litigation team and as a member of the Litigation Group. Her litigation practice focused on complex commercial disputes, as well as real estate and land use matters. This experience gives her a practical perspective on identifying and mitigating legal risks in transactional matters.

Jill is actively involved in both the legal profession and her community. She is a Circle of Red member of the American Heart Association's Go Red for Women initiative and previously served as an elected member of The Florida Bar Young Lawyers Division Board of Governors. She was also active in the American Bar Association Young Lawyers Division, serving as a state delegate to the ABA-YLD Assembly and as Vice Chair of its Women in the Profession Committee.

While attending Stetson University College of Law, Jill served as Managing Editor of the Stetson Law Review and received the Spring 2009 Outstanding Editor Award. She was also a member of Stetson's Alternative Dispute Resolution Board, competing in several advocacy competitions. Upon graduation, she received the National Association of Women Lawyers Outstanding Law Student Award.

Outside the office, Jill enjoys cheering on her daughter at softball games, practicing pickleball, shopping, and playing mahjong.
