In connection with our automotive acquisition and divestitures, Hill Ward Henderson handles the acquisition, divestiture and/or lease transactions associated with the dealerships’ real estate. Hill Ward Henderson regularly represents automotive industry clients in numerous general commercial real estate transactions that involve the purchase and sale of dealership premises and commercial lease transactions with third party landlords, including due diligence regarding title, survey, land use and zoning matters. In addition, our attorneys have been involved in sale/leaseback transactions with national REITs (Real Estate Investment Trusts). Hill Ward Henderson regularly assists with the development, new construction and expansion efforts of dealerships.
Our real estate representation often involves complex financing and refinancing transactions, including the construction of new or renovated dealership showrooms and service centers. Further, our real estate representation often includes coordinating and facilitating like-kind exchange transactions.
