Overview

Tim Hunt has 37 years of experience in construction law and clients can expect prompt response, efficient service and practical legal advice.

Tim’s practice primarily involves the preparation of development, design and construction contracts and the mediation, arbitration and litigation of claims relating to real estate development, design and construction.

Tim’s litigation experience includes defective construction claims, delay claims, design negligence, the defense of claims by condominium associations, lien foreclosure actions, and payment and performance bond claims. He worked on the contracts for the development, design, construction and renovation of Water Street Tampa, Amalie Arena, The Florida Aquarium, and Raymond James Stadium.

Tim also represents several companies on Cuba trade issues, including Florida Produce, a Tampa-based business that has been selling food to the Cuban government since 2001. He has traveled to both Washington, D.C. and Havana, Cuba on multiple occasions to meet with officials from the Cuban Embassy and the Cuban Foreign Ministry.

Tim serves on the national roster of certified arbitrators with the American Arbitration Association. He is also active in the community. Tim has served on the Board of Directors of The Alafia Home, Bayshore Little League, and Hyde Park Preservation. He remains involved with the Auburn Alumni Association, as well as various non-profit organizations, including the Centro Espanol de Tampa.
